The number of fatal cases of poisoning with surrogate alcohol in the Leningrad region increased to 38

The number of deaths after drinking surrogate alcohol continues to grow in the Leningrad region. 38 people have died so far. This is reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

Most of the victims lived or were registered in the Slantsevsky and Volosovsky districts. Isolated cases of fatal poisoning have been reported in Kingisepp, Gatchina, Tosnensky and Priozersky districts.

Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of September, cases of fatal alcohol poisoning have been recorded in the Leningrad region. The incident was a criminal case has been initiated under the article "Causing death by negligence to two or more persons". Several suspects have been detained.
