Slyusar: federal emergency situations will be introduced in the Rostov region due to the death of about 1 million hectares of crops

The Governor of the Rostov Region, Yuri Slyusar, has already discussed the current situation with the federal authorities. According to the head of the region, the region has received support at all levels. The government will allocate additional limits on preferential loans for the autumn sowing season. The issue of subsidizing and postponing existing loans for the next year is being resolved.

According to the Rostov government, in 2025, about 1 million hectares of crops were lost or damaged due to abnormal weather conditions in the region. A state of emergency was introduced in 43 districts due to frosts. In 27 districts - due to drought.

More than 550 agricultural enterprises were affected by the weather. According to the expert examination, the preliminary damage is estimated at almost 4 billion rubles.

According to Yuri Slyusar, at a meeting of the government commission for emergency prevention and response, an initiative was approved to assign a federal status to the emergency situation in the region. The decision will be made after the relevant documents are processed.
