Russia may extend export duties on sunflower seeds

The Subcommittee on Customs and Tariff Regulation approved the extension of export duties on sunflower seeds and their processed products, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development reported. The duties are currently valid until August 31, 2026, but they are planned to be extended until 2028.

A duty of 50% will be set for sunflower seeds, but not less than 32 thousand rubles per ton. A floating rate of 70% of the difference between the indicative and base export prices will be maintained for sunflower oil and meal.

The duties are intended to stimulate the processing of oilseeds within Russia.
