The Government of the Russian Federation will send additional funding to a number of regions for personnel training for the agro-industrial complex. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting of government members.

24 regions will receive the money, which ones were not announced. In total, more than 1.3 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the program to increase the staffing of agricultural enterprises. This will make it possible to modernize schools and colleges to train agricultural specialists, retrain employees of processing enterprises in rural areas, and provide incentive payments to attract qualified personnel to the industry.

"We hope that this approach will increase the competitiveness of our agricultural industry and will contribute to the creation of new jobs in rural areas," concluded the head of the Cabinet.
