A large fire broke out in warehouses in Balashikha, Moscow region.

On the morning of August 31, a warehouse caught fire in Balashikha, Moscow region. The forces and means of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Moscow region moved to the place of origin. This was reported by the press service of the emergency department.

According to the ministry, a fire was reported on Zvezdnaya Street in the Novy Svet neighborhood on the afternoon of August 31. The first fire and rescue units arrived and found that the warehouse was on fire.

According to preliminary data, the fire area may reach 4-5 thousand square meters. The footage published by eyewitnesses shows a large-scale column of black smoke rising over the territory.

At the moment, it is known that there are no casualties. The forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working to localize and eliminate the fire, and the group is being built up.

According to eyewitnesses, the flames spread to neighboring buildings. The warehouses housed the premises of the Balashikha Experimental Chemical Plant and the TDK company, which sells household chemicals.
