New special economic zone to be opened in Tatarstan

A special economic zone of industrial and production type "Green Valley" will appear in Tatarstan. The relevant decision was made by the Government of the Russian Federation.

Six investment projects in the field of biotechnology are planned to be implemented on the territory of the SEZ. It is planned to build plants for the production of flax fiber, sorbents, biofertilizers and chelates of biogenic materials, for processing bast crops.

The total investment is estimated at over 15 billion rubles. Residents of the new SEZ will receive special business conditions. With the launch of enterprises, more than 440 new jobs will be created in the region.
