Putin instructed to prepare a long-term weapons program

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to work out a long-term program covering the entire range of weapons systems and models. The instruction was given during a meeting dedicated to this issue.

"Today our task is to form a new, long-term program for the entire range of weapons systems and models, including, first of all, promising ones," the head of state stressed.

The President added that when preparing the program, it is necessary to rely as much as possible on the experience of special military operations and other regional conflicts, as well as take into account global trends in the development of military technologies. Putin also noted that bases, airfields and arsenals must be prepared in advance for the new systems.

The term of the state armament program is designed for 2027-2036.
