Russia expects to restore direct flights with the United States - Ambassador Darchiev

In the near future, Russia expects to start negotiations with the United States on restoring direct flights between the two countries. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Russian Ambassador to the United States Alexander Darchiev.

"This is a multifaceted matter that requires negotiations involving the aviation authorities, which we expect to launch in the near future," he said, speaking about the ongoing work to normalize bilateral relations.

According to him, a substantive conversation is underway with the United States regarding the simplification of visa issuance, which is currently "extremely long" - a year or more.
