The cumulative average annual growth rate of the Russian IT industry over the past 5 years has been almost 28%, and the contribution to GDP has almost doubled during this time. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a strategy session on heavy-duty industrial software.

Mishustin recalled the task set by the president - to ensure the transition of 80% of Russian organizations in key industries to domestic software products by 2030. To this end, the Cabinet of Ministers is implementing a set of measures to support the sector. Due to this, the production of competitive products is increasing, and the demand for domestic corporate solutions is growing.

So, over the past 5 years, demand has grown 2-3 times, sales in certain categories have increased more than 10 times, in particular database management systems for cloud infrastructure.

Mishustin stressed that many enterprises preferred foreign suppliers before the sanctions were imposed, but after their departure, domestic basic technologies and developments became widespread.

According to the head of the Cabinet, the created competence centers contribute to the transition of Russian enterprises to domestic products. Currently, there are 36 such centers, with more than 500 companies participating.

- We see a good experience in the complete transition of customers to Russian software products. Many have been successfully tested, replicated and applied in companies. Some of them are still being finalized," he noted.
