In Russia, sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles fell by 26%

According to the Association of European Businesses, the Russian automotive market is showing a significant decline. In the first quarter of 2025, sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles decreased by 26% compared to the same period last year, reaching 254.1 thousand units.

The drop in sales in March was especially noticeable — the market decreased by 45% compared to March 2024, amounting to 83.1 thousand cars. Such indicators indicate a significant cooling of demand for new vehicles in Russia.
