The emerging trends indicate that the 7-8% inflation forecast may be achievable by the end of the year. This opinion was voiced by Kirill Tremasov, adviser to the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, he stressed that the regulator could not yet assess the impact of the strengthening of the ruble on the inflation forecast.

gt;- Regarding the exchange rate, we said that the exchange rate has recently demonstrated high volatility. And we can talk about the strengthening that has taken place as a sustainable, long-term one. We need to understand how this strengthening is sustainable," TASS quoted Tremasov as saying.

He noted that the medium-term macroeconomic forecast will be clarified by the Central Bank following the meeting of the Board of directors at the rate on April 25.
