By the end of 2024, the Russian advertising market reached 904 billion rubles, which is 24% higher than in the previous year. Such a high growth rate was last observed only in 2021 (also 24%), and a more significant figure was only in 2007 (+31%).

The absolute increase in advertising budgets in 2024 was a record 173 billion rubles, which exceeds the figures of previous years (for comparison: in 2023 - 169 billion, in 2021 - 114 billion rubles).

lt;p> The leading positions in terms of volume are:

Advertising in Internet services: 470.2 billion rubles
Video advertising: 284.8 billion rubles
Out of Home (outdoor advertising): 97.1 billion rubles
Publishing business: 27 billion rublesbr />Audio advertising: 24.6 billion rubles.

The Out of Home segment showed the most significant percentage growth - 45%. Video advertising (+23%), audio advertising (+22%), online service advertising (+22%) and publishing (+6%) also showed significant dynamics.

The promotion industry showed a 25% growth and reached a volume of 66.2 billion rubles excluding VAT. The total market for marketing communications has exceeded 2.1 trillion rubles, which is a quarter more than in 2023.

Experts note that if the high performance in 2023 could be partially explained by the low base of the crisis in 2022, then the growth of 24% in 2024 compared to the already successful 2023 not only pleased, but also surprised many analysts.
