Telegram messenger blocked in Dagestan and Chechnya

"The decision to block Telegram in two regions of the North Caucasus Federal District - Chechnya and Dagestan - was made at the federal level on the recommendation of law enforcement agencies. It is often used by enemies, an example of this is the riots at Makhachkala airport. Maybe Telegram will be unblocked in the future," said Yuri Gamzatov, Minister of Digital Development of the Republic of Dagestan.

The Minister recommended that residents of the regions use analogues of the messenger.
