As part of the work to gradually bring tariffs for communication services in Russia to the level of the home region, the FAS has achieved the cancellation of roaming in Crimea and Sevastopol by two more telecom operators. This is reported by the agency.

Megafon and Yota joined the voluntary cancellation of surcharges for using communication services in Crimea and Sevastopol. From February 28, their subscribers will pay for minutes, SMS and gigabytes during their stay on the peninsula according to the standard terms of the tariff plan.

Earlier, roaming on the peninsula was canceled by Beeline, Rostelecom, T2 Mobile, VTB Mobileraquo;. In addition, Crimean operators K-telecom and KTK-telecom have canceled roaming charges for their subscribers when traveling in Russia. It is noted that MTS tried to challenge the decision and the FAS order to cancel roaming on the peninsula, but the Arbitration Court decided to comply with the FAS requirement.

"Currently, the prerequisites for charging additional fees in Crimea have been eliminated: economic conditions have been created for all telecom operators to cancel additional fees," the ministry stressed.
