Former deputy chairman of the government of the Ryazan region Artem Nikitin was detained for a bribe of 17 million rubles

The security forces detained the former Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ryazan region, Artyom Nikitin. He is suspected of taking bribes worth 17 million rubles. This is reported by SI "Ryazan news".

A criminal case has been opened against Nikitin for receiving a particularly large bribe. According to the Investigative Committee, the official received money from an individual entrepreneur, promising him assistance in concluding contracts and general patronage.

"Investigations are underway against Artem Nikitin, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.

According to the newspaper, on the eve (February 26) Artem Nikitin wrote a letter of resignation from the post of deputy chairman of the regional government at his own request. His powers were distributed among other deputies.
