Vice-Governor of the Vologda region Denis Alekseev was detained for accepting a bribe

In Moscow, FSB operatives and TFR investigators detained Denis Alekseev, Vice Governor of the Vologda Region. This is reported by «Kommersant» with reference to sources.

Kirill Bocharov, the head of the Vologda Region representative office in Moscow, was detained with him.

According to law enforcement officials, the officials demanded 100 million rubles from the management of one of the timber enterprises for the extension of the lease of forest plots for logging, as well as general patronage.

The defendants were charged under the article "Receiving a particularly large bribe." They do not admit their guilt.
