Governor of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov announced his resignation. He announced his decision on the Telegram channel. According to him, this decision is connected with the transition to a federal position.

Recall that Egorov became ACTING governor in October 2021, and took office officially a year later. He won 84.95% of the vote in the election.

Egorov himself was born in 1977 in Gorky. In 1999 he graduated from the Volga State Academy of Water Transport. In 2016, he became an advisor to the Tyumen region. In addition, since December 29, 2018, he has been Deputy head of the Minister of Construction of the Russian Federation.

Along with his resignation announced the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev.
