Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev has resigned. He announced the decision on his Telegram channel:

- Has decided to resign - in connection with the transition to another job  - Golubev wrote. The ex-governor did not specify where exactly he was going to work, but said that the support and development of the Rostov region would remain a priority for him.

Recall that Golubev took the post of governor back when Dmitry Medvedev was President of the Russian Federation. Vasily has been governor for more than 14 years. Golubev himself is a native of the Rostov region.
