Vladimir Putin: We will increase cargo traffic along the Northern Sea Route

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the WEF-2024 in Vladivostok, paid great attention to the development of the Northern Sea Route (NSR).

"We will continue to increase cargo traffic along the Northern Sea Route," the President of the country said, including for the active development of Arctic deposits, redirecting cargo from west to east, by increasing transit. The large-scale plan of the NSR has been deployed, icebreakers are being built for this, infrastructure is being strengthened, satellite grouping is increasing, coastal infrastructure is being strengthened, and the network of emergency rescue centers is being strengthened.
