### Russian Fertilizer Companies Ready to Resume Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Exports to US
Russian fertilizer companies could quickly resume exports of phosphate and compound fertilizers to the US if tariffs are lifted, according to Andrey Guriev, head of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAPU), as reported by TASS.
"Absolutely quickly. Our customers are waiting for us, they know all the schemes are established and tested. We sell these fertilizers, they are just going to other markets now, but we can start supplying them tomorrow," Guriev said on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Forum.
Before sanctions were imposed, Russia was exporting 800,000 to 1.2 million tons of phosphate and compound fertilizers to the US annually, according to Guriev. He believes lifting sanctions would benefit the US amid high prices and a shortage of phosphorus on the domestic market, as domestic phosphate fertilizer production is operating at half capacity due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and rising sulfur prices.
