U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will be resolved in the near future, TASS reports.

Speaking to supporters in Syracuse, New York, Trump said he expects to resolve the situation in a short period of time.

"Russia and Ukraine — we will achieve this, and it will happen quickly," the U.S. president stated.

Trump also mentioned that he is close to resolving or achieving victory in the standoff with Iran.

However, the American leader did not specify what concrete steps would lead to these outcomes or provide a timeline for when they might occur.
