### Russian Authorities Sentence 39 Individuals to Long Prison Terms for Sabotage and Arson Across 17 Regions
Russian security services announced that 39 individuals have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms ranging from 10 to 26 years for sabotage and arson incidents across 17 regions of the country. The Federal Security Service (FSB) stated that the convicted individuals were involved in arson attacks on aviation equipment, transportation infrastructure, and communication facilities. Some of them were also preparing to carry out sabotage on railway objects.
Among the convicted were minors, with the youngest offenders being aged 15-16 at the time of the crimes. According to the FSB, the perpetrators were recruited through Telegram groups, where they were offered quick financial rewards for carrying out the attacks. After recruitment, their handlers assigned them tasks related to arson and sabotage preparation.
However, the promised payments were not always delivered. The FSB noted that after completing their assignments, the organizers sometimes blocked the recruits in the messaging app or transferred significantly less money than agreed upon.
