Russian state fuel purchases up 16% in volume, 30% in cost

State purchases of gasoline and diesel fuel in Russia have surged sharply from January to August, according to data from tender management systems "Tenderplan," "Kontur.Zakupki," and "Rostender," as reported by "Vedomosti."

Since the beginning of the year, state buyers have posted 43,428 tenders for gasoline and diesel purchases, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period last year. In terms of procurement costs, the figure has risen by 30% year-on-year, reaching 289 billion rubles.

In August alone, 4,486 tenders worth 23.4 billion rubles were posted, representing a 27% increase in quantity and a 1.6-fold increase in value.
