More than 30 flights were forced to change their destinations due to temporary restrictions on aircraft acceptance at Moscow airports. The planes were diverted to alternate airports in Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Cheboksary, St. Pyotrsburg, Samara, and Nizhnekamsk.
The restrictions affected Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Sheremetyevo airports. The measures were implemented for safety reasons.
By 9:01 am, the restrictions on aircraft acceptance and departure at all four airports were lifted. The airports resumed normal operations. Individual flight schedules may have been adjusted to account for previous delays. Passengers are advised to check the information about their flight on the online departure boards.
