Russia Plans to Extend Diesel Export Ban for Another Month

The Russian government plans to extend the export ban on diesel fuel for producers until the end of October 2026, according to sources familiar with the outcome of a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, as reported by Vedomosti.

The Ministry of Energy told the publication that export restrictions are being reviewed based on the situation in the domestic fuel market, production volumes, stock levels, and demand dynamics.

The government has already extended the ban on exporting diesel, marine fuel, and gasoil several times. The previous restriction was set in late August until September 30. This measure is aimed at balancing the domestic fuel market and addressing supply disruptions in regions.
