Lithuania to Become Target of Russian Nuclear Weapons if Hosts Such Arms - Peskov

Russia will respond in kind if Lithuania deploys nuclear weapons aimed at Russia on its territory, warned Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"If nuclear weapons aimed at us are deployed on Lithuanian territory, then the territory of that country will also be within the range of our nuclear weapons," Peskov said.

• Earlier, the Lithuanian parliament (Seimas) proposed an amendment to the constitution allowing such deployment. The decision is expected to be made early next year.
