Average Salary Exceeds 150,000 Rubles in 9 Russian Regions

In June 2026, the average monthly salary exceeded 150,000 rubles ($1,900) in nine regions of Russia, according to data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), as reported by TASS.

The highest average salary was recorded in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where it reached 255,100 rubles ($3,200) per month. The second place went to Magadan Oblast with an average salary of 208,000 rubles ($2,600).

Completing the top three was Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where the average salary was 194,300 rubles ($2,400). Moscow followed closely with an average salary of 193,300 rubles ($2,400).

In five other regions, the average salary also exceeded 150,000 rubles. In Nenets Autonomous Okrug, it was 177,700 rubles ($2,200), in Sakhalin Oblast it was 163,800 rubles ($2,000), and in Kamchatka Krai it was 163,600 rubles ($2,000).

In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, the average salary reached 159,700 rubles ($2,000), and in Yakutia (Sakha Republic) it was 155,800 rubles ($1,900).

For comparison, the average salary across Russia in June 2026 was 114,743 rubles ($1,400). Thus, all nine leading regions had a higher average salary than the national average.
