Russian Oil Companies Receive 197.3 Billion Rubles in August Fuel Damper Subsidies

Russian oil companies received 197.3 billion rubles ($2.5 billion) from the federal budget in August under the fuel dampening mechanism, according to the Ministry of Finance.

In the previous month, the corresponding payments to oil companies amounted to 113 billion rubles ($1.4 billion).

In total, oil companies received 881.8 billion rubles ($11 billion) from the federal budget in 2025 and 1.815 trillion rubles ($22.7 billion) in 2024 through the dampening mechanism.
