All 13 Russian Automotive Sites Abandoned by Foreign Investors Have Found New Partners

All 13 automotive sites in Russia that were abandoned by foreign investors have found new partners, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov announced at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

"Today, we have found new partners for all 13 abandoned sites, maintaining control by Russian beneficiaries. The technologies and rights to engineering documentation created here will remain in our country," TASS quoted Alikhanov as saying.

According to Alikhanov, investors have already invested around 120 billion rubles in developing capacities. It is expected that by the time the Special Investment Contracts (SPICs) are completed, this amount will triple. He also noted that since 2022, support for the development of components has exceeded 125 billion rubles. Out of 700 critical positions, half are already being produced domestically.
