Gasoline and Diesel Prices Fall on Exchange

On September 2, gasoline AI-92 (the most common grade of gasoline in Russia) began to decline in price after reaching a record high the previous day, according to data from the St. Pyotrsburg International Mercantile Exchange. AI-95 gasoline and summer diesel fuel continued their downward trend.

AI-92 gasoline lost 2.29%, dropping to 73,751 rubles per ton, AI-95 gasoline fell by 0.78%, reaching 75,336 rubles per ton, and summer diesel fuel decreased by 2.93%, settling at 69,137 rubles per ton.

In contrast, fuel oil and liquefied hydrocarbon gases continued to rise, increasing by 1.72% to 20,982 rubles per ton and 16.06% to 38,409 rubles per ton respectively.
