IMOEX2 Index Drops 1.3% at Market Open

Russian stock market continued its downward trend from the previous day at the start of morning trading session on the Moscow Exchange. Within the first minute of trading, the IMOEX index dropped by 1.3%, reaching 2158.22 points.

Among the leading losers were shares of Aeroflot (-4.9%), NLMK (-3.9%), Sovcombank (-2.8%), Severstal (-2.3%), MMK (-2.3%), Rusal (-2.3%), VK (-2.3%). Other stocks that also saw declines included Yandex (-2.1%), Novatek (-1.9%), Tatneft (-1.8%), HeadHunter (-1.8%), Gazprom (-1.7%), Inter RAO (-1.7%), Norilsk Nickel (-1.6%), Moscow Exchange (-1.5%), AFK Sistema (-1.5%), Surgutneftegaz (-1.4% and -0.5% for preferred shares), Alrosa (-1.3%), MTS (-1.1%), T-Technologies (-1.1%), Sberbank (-1% and -1.1% for preferred shares), VTB (-1%), X5 Retail Group (-1%), Lukoil (-0.9%), PhosAgro (-0.7%), Polus (-0.4%).

Only shares of PIK Group slightly increased in value (+0.1%).
