### Russian Air Defense Intercepts Massive Drone Attack Overnight Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized a large-scale drone attack throughout the night, according to the Ministry of Defense. From 8:00 PM Moscow time on August 20 to 8:00 AM on August 21, duty air defense units intercepted and destroyed 325 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type. The drones were shot down over the territories of Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Rostov, Ryazan, and Tula regions, as well as the Moscow area. Additionally, air defense systems engaged air targets over Crimea, Udmurtia, Krasnodar, and Perm territories. Some drones were also destroyed over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
