### Russian Air Defense Forces Successfully Intercept 726 UAVs Overnight Russian air defense units have successfully repelled a large-scale attack of aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. From 8:00 PM on August 19 to 8:00 AM on August 20, Russian air defense systems detected, intercepted, and destroyed a total of 726 Ukrainian drones. The attack was recorded simultaneously over several regions of Russia, including Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Tambov, Tula, and Ulyanovsk. Additionally, UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the airspace of Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Crimea (territory claimed by Russia but internationally recognized as part of Ukraine), Tatarstan, as well as over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas. The Ministry emphasized that all targets were successfully neutralized by on-duty air defense systems.
