### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 822 Ukrainian Drones Overnight Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 822 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of airplane type during the night, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The attack took place from 8:00 PM on August 15 to 8:00 AM on August 16 Moscow time. The drones were detected over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Tambov, and Tula regions. Additionally, air defense systems were active in the Moscow region, Krasnodar territory, Republic of Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas. The Ministry of Defense reported that all indicated air targets were intercepted by on-duty air defense units.
