Moscow arrests current and former heads of drone manufacturer

Kuzminskiy District Court in Moscow has remanded the CEO of Drone Solutions LLC, Vyacheslav Barbasov, and his predecessor Irakli Khazalia in custody. Both are charged with fraud on an especially large scale.

As reported by TASS, the court has ordered their detention as a preventive measure. The criminal case was initiated under Article 159, Part 4 of the Russian Criminal Code, which deals with "fraud on an especially large scale".

Barbasov is the current head of Drone Solutions LLC, a company specializing in the production of unmanned systems. Khazalia previously held the position of CEO at the company.

Under the relevant criminal code article, the maximum penalty is up to 10 years in prison.
