One killed, 24 injured in attacks on Belgorod region, Russian authorities say

Acting Governor of Belgorod Region, Alexander Shuvaev, reported on the consequences of Ukrainian military attacks over the past 24 hours.

According to Shuvaev, the region was subjected to 138 attacks. Strikes were recorded in Belgorod city and in Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Veidelivsky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Gubkinsky, Korochansky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Novooskol, Rakityansky, Rovenky, Shebekinsky, and Yakovlevsky districts.

In total, the enemy used artillery and multiple rocket launchers 12 times. Additionally, there were four reports of explosive devices dropped by drones.

Russian air defense units and other involved units shot down and neutralized 154 drones over the past day.

The attacks resulted in two fatalities. One civilian was killed in Grayvoronsky district. Another man, who sustained severe injuries from a drone attack in Belgorodsky district on August 3, later died in the hospital.

Furthermore, 24 people were injured. The victims were located in Belgorod city and in Belgorodsky, Valuysky, Shebekinsky, and Yakovlevsky districts. Eight of the injured were hospitalized.

Shuvaev expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
