The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has proposed changes to the bankruptcy procedure for sellers who lost goods following drone attacks on Wildberries warehouses, according to Vedomosti.
Under current Russian law, individuals and sole proprietors are liable for their debts with all their assets. The CCI fears that sellers who have lost goods and have outstanding loans may lose most or all of their assets. The authors of the initiative believe that in cases of drone attacks on logistics centers, sellers should not be held liable with all their property. The CCI has submitted its proposal, along with other support measures, to the government.
