The Russian government will allocate additional funds to support railway transportation of agricultural products. Over 9.7 billion rubles ($130 million) have been earmarked for this purpose, according to a decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The funds will be used to partially compensate railway companies for their expenses related to transporting agricultural cargo at preferential rates.

The measure aims to ensure stable supplies of agricultural raw materials and food to the domestic market, as well as support Russian producers in fulfilling their export obligations.

The additional funding also takes into account the current situation in the Azov-Black Sea basin (a region important for agricultural logistics), which affects the transportation of agricultural products.
