Government extends ban on diesel and bunker fuel exports

The Russian government has extended restrictions on the export of certain types of petroleum products by direct producers until September 30, 2026.

This measure applies to diesel fuel, marine fuel, and gasoil. According to the government, the decision was made to maintain stability in the domestic petroleum products market.

The initial restrictions for producers were set to expire on August 31. Now, the period has been extended by an additional month.

Meanwhile, the general ban on fuel exports from Russia remains in place until January 31, 2027. Thus, the extension specifically concerns the established period for direct producers to restrict the export of certain categories of petroleum products.

The government emphasized that these measures are primarily aimed at ensuring the domestic market has sufficient fuel supplies.
