Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has instructed the Russian Academy of Sciences, Roscosmos (the Russian space agency), Rosatom (the state nuclear energy corporation), and relevant ministries to prepare and submit to the government a "roadmap" for developing plans to advance technologies. The instruction was given following a strategic session aimed at improving the management system for scientific and technological development.

The "roadmap" should include information on responsible agencies, technologies, their development timelines, and required resources. It is to be presented by October 27, 2026.

The Ministry of Education and Science has been tasked with preparing a draft procedure for identifying priority areas of scientific and technological development and a list of key high-tech technologies. Additionally, relevant agencies are to refine the action plan aimed at attracting funding for innovative research and development.

It was noted that this work is being carried out as part of efforts to establish a new model for managing Russian science, capable of enhancing the synchronization of activities in scientific, technological, and industrial fields.
