Russia bans production of several Dongfeng and Zoomlion truck models

Russia has banned the production of several models of Chinese trucks Dongfeng and Zoomlion due to safety non-compliance, according to a decision by Rosstandart, the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.

Violations of mandatory technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were identified during unscheduled inspections by Rosstandart experts. The violations concerned the effectiveness of the braking system, safety belt attachment, steering control, rear and side protective equipment, and installation of emergency services call systems. Additionally, several violations were found in the documentation.

The banned models include Dongfeng trucks of types DFV4198 and DFV KC, as well as Zoomlion trucks of types ZTC-4, ZTC-3, TMCP3 and TMCP4.
