Average POS Loan Size Increases by 4.7% in June

The average size of point-of-sale (POS) loans in Russia reached 68,000 rubles ($820) in June 2026, up 4.7% from the previous month, according to the National Credit Bureau (NCB). On a year-on-year basis, the figure dropped by 0.3%.

In the retail lending segment, the highest average POS loan sizes in June were recorded in Moscow (86,400 rubles), Moscow Oblast (81,300 rubles), St. Pyotrsburg (80,700 rubles), Leningrad Oblast (73,600 rubles), and Tatarstan (73,100 rubles).

The lowest average POS loan sizes were seen in Voronezh Oblast (58,800 rubles), Stavropol Krai (56,800 rubles), Saratov Oblast (56,900 rubles), North Ossetia (59,800 rubles), and Orenburg Oblast (60,600 rubles).

The largest monthly growth in average POS loan sizes was observed in Tatarstan (+8.6%), Udmurtia (+8%), Tula Oblast (+7.4%), Krasnoyarsk Krai (+7.1%), and Volgograd Oblast (+7.1%).
