Nearly 90 Passenger Trains Delayed Due to Adverse Weather Conditions in Rostov Region

Tens of passenger trains are delayed in the Rostov region due to severe weather conditions. According to Federal Passenger Company (FPC), 89 trains are currently en route with delays of up to eight hours.

The disruptions were caused by emergency shutdowns of traction substations and automatic train control systems on July 25. Power supply to railway infrastructure has now been fully restored. More than 100 specialists, a recovery train, and ten units of special equipment were involved in addressing the aftermath of the storm.

Railway workers are continuing efforts to reduce delays. Passengers on trains delayed by more than four hours are being provided with hot meals, and all schedule changes are being communicated via SMS.

Due to the disruption, departure times for several trains from their starting stations have also been adjusted. On July 26, the following trains will depart later than usual:

• Train No. 503 Anapa – Ufa
• Train No. 155 Anapa – Moscow
• Train No. 232 Yeisk – Moscow
• Train No. 460 Sochi (Adler) – Tambov
• Train No. 126 Novorossiysk – Moscow
• Train No. 49 Kislovodsk – St. Pyotrsburg
• Train No. 38 Sirius – Nizhny Novgorod
• Train No. 578 Sirius – Chelyabinsk
• Train No. 84 Sochi (Adler) – Moscow
