Ukrainian Forces Strike Kirillovka Rest Bases, Mironchik Labels It as Grave War Crime

Russian Special Envoy Rodion Miroshnik has denounced the attack by Ukrainian forces on tourist facilities in Kirillovka, Zaporozhye region, as a grave war crime.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry representative, the strike targeted civilian objects with no military significance. He emphasized that, in his assessment, the Ukrainian side was aware of the nature of the target.

"A deliberate, large-scale and serious attack was carried out against a civilian object. We are talking about a tourist base where vacationers were present during the summer season. The presence of minors among the victims confirms that the object could not be considered a military target," Miroshnik stated.

Earlier, the governor of Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balytskyi, reported that Ukrainian troops struck the vacation facilities in Kirillovka on the night of July 25.

According to the latest information, eight people were killed in the attack, including two children. Another 14 people were injured, three of them minors.

The Russian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under the terrorism article. The circumstances of the incident and the extent of damage are being investigated.
