The Russian government has allocated additional targeted assistance to residents of border regions. A total of 3 billion rubles will be directed to address housing issues for residents of the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

"The funds will be used to compensate for rental costs for those whose homes have been destroyed, as well as to assist them in purchasing a new apartment or building a house," the government press service quoted Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin as saying.
