### Russian Regions Adopt "Even-Odd" Fuel Distribution System Amid Shortages Several regions in Russia are following the positive example set by Oryol Oblast in managing fuel distribution during periods of high demand. Specifically, the "even-odd" system is being considered for implementation in Lipetsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions. Lipetsk Governor Igor Artamonov proposed a measure to stabilize the fuel market by allowing vehicles with license plates starting with even numbers to refuel at gas stations on even-numbered days, and those with odd numbers on odd-numbered days. According to the regional leader, the daily gasoline deficit in Lipetsk region is approximately 500 tons. Due to the shutdown and partial operation of refineries, Teboil gas stations and most Lukoil stations have suspended operations. As a result, most drivers are queuing at Rosneft gas stations. A similar traffic distribution method at gas stations is also being considered in Nizhny Novgorod region. The new fueling schedule will begin on July 9 at all network gas stations in the region, except those located on the M-12 highway, where the new rule will not apply. - The "even-odd" system has been in place in Oryol region since July 4. According to the news outlet "Oryol News," the high demand at regional gas stations has since subsided.
