### Russian Stock Market Opens Higher on Wednesday
On Wednesday, the MOEX Russia Index opened higher, rising by 0.4% to trade at 2,360 basis points.
The most liquid stocks are showing the following trading dynamics:
- Lukoil +0.3%
- Gazprom +0.4%
- Sberbank +0.5%
- Rosneft +0.3%
The MOEX Russia Index (formerly known as the MICEX Index) is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is calculated based on the market capitalization of free-floating shares and includes highly liquid securities of major and rapidly growing Russian companies.
The composite stock index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated using prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account the free-float of the most liquid Russian company stocks. The index composition and weight are reviewed quarterly.
