Sevastopol Introduces Temporary Restrictions on Motorcycle Use

Sevastopol has implemented temporary restrictions on the use of certain types of motor vehicles, according to an order signed by city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The measures took effect at midnight on June 22 and will remain in place until a separate decision is made to lift them. According to the Sevastopol government, the restrictions are being introduced to ensure the safety of residents and the uninterrupted operation of municipal services.

The new rules apply to motorcycles, mopeds, pit bikes with engine displacement up to 125 cubic centimeters, as well as tricycles, quadricycles, and quad bikes. Owners of such vehicles are prohibited from driving within the city limits between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Additionally, the use of these vehicles will be banned during the activation of signals such as "Air Raid" and "Air Raid and Sea Hazard" (specific emergency signals used in Russia).

Compliance with the restrictions will be monitored by law enforcement officers. The authorities stress that the measures are temporary and aimed at enhancing public safety in light of existing risks.
