Seven Earthquakes Hit Crimean Coast in Morning, Seismic Activity Intensifies

A series of earthquakes struck the Black Sea near Sevastopol early on June 22. According to the Crimean Seismic Network, seven tremors were recorded, two of which were felt by residents in the region.
The first noticeable earthquake occurred at 06:14 with a magnitude of 3.7, its epicenter located approximately 26 kilometers from Sevastopol. The second, stronger tremor was recorded at 08:48 with a magnitude of 4.4, about 30 kilometers from the city. Both events were accompanied by foreshocks and aftershocks.
Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev informed the public that experts do not rule out the possibility of further seismic activity and urged residents to remain calm. According to seismologists, such processes are characteristic of the region and fall within the natural seismic activity.
The city’s Emergency Services reported no damage to infrastructure or residential buildings as a result of the tremors. There were also no casualties.
