Nighttime movement ban imposed on motorcycles in Crimea

Sergey Aksenov, Head of the Republic of Crimea, announced temporary restrictions on motorbike movement across the region. The new measures will come into effect on June 17 and remain in place until further notice.

Under the decree, motorcycles, mopeds, pit bikes, quad bikes, scooters, and other types of motorized vehicles will be prohibited from moving between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

As Aksenov explained, the decision was made to enhance public safety, protect military facilities, and secure important state and special facilities.

Enforcement of the new regulations will be overseen by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
